To celebrate the 2015 Rugby World Cup and encourage fans to learn to play the pBone and/or pTrumpet, Clarke Associates was commissioned to devise a creative campaign to promote the instruments.
Early on in the briefing stage, we identified the benefits of designing fun and entertaining characters for the campaign. Our designer Paul Chipperfield developed a series of rugby player character illustrations to promote certain unique selling points of the instruments, such as durability. We also created national flags using pBones and pTrumpets, which were utilised as vibrant backgrounds for some of the posters, post cards and social media banners. The collateral was shared with the dealers and retailers, accompanied by a social media time table for delivery around the games.
